Does Denso make good O2 sensors?

Denso’ s are just as good (Don’t get Bosch). I used Denso’s for over 5 years now with 60K on them & no problem whatever. You really don’t need OEM’s overpriced stuff for O2 sensors, brake pad/rotors, oil, spark plugs etc.

They have 18 and need to be replaced every 6 months…

How long do Denso O2 sensors last?

Even still, the lifespan of a modern O2 sensor may be 60,000 to 90,000 miles. Cars with bad O2 sensors will activate a check-engine light and may idle rough and get poor fuel mileage because they’re operating in “open loop” to a pre-determined fuel map.

Are both oxygen sensors the same?

O2 sensors, also called lambda sensors or oxygen sensors, measure the proportion of oxygen in vehicle exhaust. Physically, there’s no difference between front and back O2 sensors. They function in the same way, but the vehicle’s computer uses the measurements that they take for different purposes.

Can I use anti seize on oxygen sensor?

Use anti-seize compound to coat on the sensor’s threads (some oxygen sensors have the anti-seize compound applied at the factory). When there’s no torque value given for tightening the new oxygen sensor, treat it much like you would a spark plug.

Can you drive with bad oxygen sensor?

Yes, you can drive with a bad oxygen sensor if you can still start your engine and feel little difficulty driving. But don’t leave it alone for over a couple of days, as it might cause safety problems and lead to the malfunction of other parts of your vehicle.
